      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 6 CAMHS Core Practitioner (RMN/SW/OT) to join the CORE CAMHS team based in Grantham, due to the promotion of the previous post holder.

      As Band 6 Core CAMHS Practitioner you will need to demonstrate a significant level of expertise in knowledge and experience in relation to young people's mental health.

      You will be required to work independently and with others in the MDT Team to deliver a high standard of clinical care for young people experiencing significant deterioration in their mental health requiring specialist interventions.

      You will hold a case load of complex cases, provide leadership and work in partnership with service users, their carers', colleagues across Children's and Young Persons Services as well as external agencies such as schools and Social Care. The successful candidate will provide effective formulation, clinical supervision, management supervision and play an active part in the professional development of the clinical team.

      Main duties of the job

      Your duties will include, but not limited to:

      To provide a high standard of clinical care ensuring safe and effective assessment, treatment and comprehensive discharge planning using highly developed clinical reasoning skills and appropriate assessment tools.

      Provide care delivery to vulnerable groups, inclusive of but not exclusively:

      -Mild Learning Disability

      -Looked After Children

      -Those in contact with CJS

      -Survivors of abuse

      -Those with harmful behaviour

      Act as Care Coordinator under the CPA, as required.

      Work collaboratively, and promote effective working relationships, with members of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring effective clinical decision-making, internally and with external agencies.

      Empower Service Users and their families/carers to influence and use available services, information and skills and act as an advocate where appropriate.

      Qualifications

      Essential

      • Registered with a professional body e.g. NMC, UKCP, HCPC, BACP
      • Recognised Professional Qualification in Registered Nursing (RMN,RLDN), Social Worker (CQSW, DipSW), Occupational Therapy or other relevant qualification e.g.IAPT qualification and Counselling

      Desirable

      • Mentorship or similar qualification in supporting students in practice
      • Evidence of specialised continued professional training (degree level) in clinical practice
      • Post registration training in supervision

      Experience

      Essential

      • oRelevant post-registration experience of working with people with mental health needs, including those with severe and enduring mental ill health
      • oExperience of managing and developing staff including providing management and/or clinical supervision
      • oExperience of using evidence based practice
      • oPost registration experience of working with children and young people and their families

      Desirable

      • Post registration experience of working within CAMHS

      • oSound knowledge of Child Care legislation, Safeguarding, Mental Health Act and the Care Programme Approach
