      Purpose of Position

      Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is looking to hire Corporate Aviation Exploration Summer Interns to work at our Headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. This paid 10 week internship will start June 3, 2024 to August 9, 2024. EJM offers a flexible schedule conducive to a students' schedule with encouraged participation in company events throughout the Summer. 35-40 hours per week will be expected of each intern. A complete application and resume must be submitted to be considered. Preference will be given to students who are enrolled in an aviation specific degree program.

      Selected interns will have the choice to select 2 of the 4 departments listed below and will do a 5 week rotation in each department OR pick one department to stay in for the entire 10 weeks.

      • Owner Services
      • Fleet Maintenance
      • Flight Operations
      • Charter

      Tasks and Responsibilities

      • Manage and complete department assigned project(s) in a timely and effective manner.
      • Collaborate directly with a department mentor; set goals and monitor progress.
      • Develop an understanding of the EJM operations, approach, methodology & tools.

      Owner Services tasks and projects may include:

      • Learn and assist with management of work tools such as system phones, team email boxes and Intellijet to keep the department updated about Owner needs
      • Acquire cross-departmental knowledge of the clients account which includes Fleet Maintenance, Accounting, Crew Training and Flight Operations
      • Coordinate with Dispatchers to verify regulations and duty day limitations
      • Manage and present charter trips to Owners as directed by the account.

      Fleet Maintenance tasks and projects may include:

      • Audit/research compliance history and verify third-party tracking systems are current and matched with internal tracking database.
      • Assist in off-loading and loading of records on aircraft.
      • Assist in aircraft conformity research and inputting information into internal tracking database.
      • Assist Return-to-Service Department by contacting vendors for parts availability and pricing.

      Flight Operations/Technical Programs tasks and projects may include:

      • Assist with technical/strategic program development and implementation
      • Assist in continuous improvement efforts of Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) program and operational authorization for eligible EFB configurations
      • Assistant liaison with NetJets Operations Technical Programs and Strategic planning
      • Supports Safety Management System (SMS)

      • Must be currently enrolled in an aviation degree-seeking program.
      • Task-oriented, organized, and conscientious.
      • Clear, professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
      • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, positive, personable, and ability to develop relationships.
      • Must be proficient in EXCEL, Word, Outlook and have experience with internet research. Must be comfortable with Excel spreadsheets, tracking, and analysis.
      • Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills.
      • Ability to handle confidential information.
