- Supporting development and implementation of staff communications and engagement strategies and action plans
- Developing proactive media opportunities and handling reactive media inquiries.
- Providing strategic communication and engagement advice and support to make sure the ICB/ICS meet their statutory requirements

- Designing high-quality surveys, questionnaires and other research tools to gather patient and carer experience
- Delivering a proactive and responsive engagement function to maintain and develop the ICB/ICS reputation

- Championing the inclusion of staff as key audiences for communications and engagement project/plans being developed by other members of the directorate
- Supporting project management use of a range of software and meeting budgetary demands
- Clear communication with excellent writing, and presentation skills - constructing and delivering clear information/ instructions to staff and service users.
- Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
- Ability to work on own initiative and organise own workload with minimal supervision working to tight and often changing timescales.
- Provide and receive highly complex, sensitive and contentious information, negotiate with senior stakeholders on difficult and controversial issues, and present complex and sensitive information to large and influential groups.

Job summary

You'll need to enjoy working in a fast-paced, supportive environment and feel confident in your ability to hit the ground running, as well as have a proven track record in this field. No two days are ever the same.
This role is part of our corporate function to oversee, plan and deliver internal and external communications and engagement support that informs and involves our workforce and our external stakeholders, as well as helping people trust the NHS.
You'll be responsible for the development and management of our core channels for communications and engagement, such as our websites, intranet, social media platforms and digital newsletters.
This part of the team shares responsibility for stakeholder management with our projects section of the team and some event management.

Main duties of the job
You'll be supporting development of the organisation's core narrative, key campaigns and handle proactive and reactive media. There is also some responsibility for employee engagement, brand management, strategy development, behaviour change, engagement advice and marketing.
