- Supports Executive management and senior leadership in evolving and implementing the corporate communication strategy, offering assistance and resources to facilitate the process.
- Manages the Communications branch operations and staff of the Marketing Department.
- Collaborates with leadership to strategize internal and external messaging tailored for key stakeholder audiences, an example of those being our agency partners, and leverages the Communications’ team to craft and deploy.
- Drives advancement of the Communications area including action plan development, execution, budget management, and team workflow design and management.
- Oversees Communications vendor relationships.
- Responsible for the oversight of all content development and the MMG brand use.
- Administers MMG’s Community Giving Program. Evaluates alignment of opportunities with guiding pillars, manages budget, strategizes and makes recommendations with leadership to maximize impact and deepen community relations.
- Closely partners with People & Engagement to strategically support and communicate MMG’s employer brand. Additionally, collaborates with P&E on a variety of talent initiatives.
- Oversees MMG’s public website, social media, and other digital platforms where MMG’s brand is represented. This includes development and oversight of the execution of MMG’s strategic approaches in this space.
- Provide support for the strategic approach and the development of marketing and corporate materials, in collaboration with marketing vendors.
- Oversees MMG’s advertisement and sponsorship commitments, assessing fit, managing budget, and delegating execution and ad creation.
- Assesses content needs in collaboration with domain leaders and implements content strategies, coordinating with the Communications team to support content creation.
- Travels as required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the employee's position and to fulfill educational requirements. (May include overnight stays.)

SUMMARY
The individual will play a crucial part in ensuring messages are strategically aligned to define and promote the corporate identity, brand, and mission, facilitating effective communication with key stakeholders. As a team lead within the Communications branch of the Marketing Department, the person will coordinate efforts with team members and manage relations with external marketing vendors to enhance MMG's presence and message coherence.
In addition, the role involves playing a pivotal role in leading and executing MMG’s Corporate Community Giving program, working closely with team members and leadership to align initiatives with the company’s mission and values. This position is designed for someone who excels in collaborative environments, offering guidance and insight while leveraging the strengths of the team and external partners to achieve communication and community engagement objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job includes the supervision of the Communications branch of the Marketing Department, which currently consists of the Communications Coordinator and Communications Administrator roles. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance appraisals; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree plus 6-8 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
