What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret energy and commercial contracts, including commodity and professional services agreements
- Manage credit facilities and financing arrangements, including guaranty agreements and letters of credit
- Provide legal analysis and guidance in response to requests from various departments
- Collaborate on cross-functional transactions and special projects requiring legal assistance
- Oversee contract workflows, approvals, execution, and record keeping

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- 5 to 10 years of experience as a practicing attorney in a corporate in-house legal department or large law firm
- License to practice law and a member in good standing of a state bar; Florida bar preferred
- Substantial experience in commercial, financial, and/or energy contracting
- Knowledge of standard and nonstandard commercial and energy contract terms and conditions

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Corporate in-house and/or large law firm experience highly preferred
- Energy contract drafting and negotiation experience, especially with ISDAs, EEIs, and related confirmations
- Financial contract drafting and negotiation expertise highly preferred
- Familiarity with regional transmission organizations (RTOs) and independent system operators (ISOs)
- Experience in renewables and energy regulatory matters is a plus
