Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic corporate counsel to join our legal department where you’ll join a team of talented and creative professionals who love what they do. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader operations, risk, and hotel leadership teams where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. You will also work with the sales and distribution teams to support corporate and property-level efforts. The Role
Responsibilities include supporting property and above property operational, sales, and distribution matters, support of hotel safety and security programs, assisting in the development of corporate and brand protocols, and involvement in other transactional matters related to new or transitioning hotels. This includes:
•Supporting negotiations of hotel vendor and sales contracts and assisting in the development and implementation of contracting standards
•Providing transactional and operational support to Americas regions
•Supporting development and roll-out of operational policies, procedures, and guidance
•Involvement in special initiatives and cross-functional projects
•Opportunities to participate in Hyatt’s Diversity & Inclusion activities
!*!Experience Required:
•3 - 5 years of legal experience in either a private law firm or an in-house counsel position
Experience Preferred:
•Degree from a four-year college with a strong academic performance and an interest in learning more about the practice of law.
•Juris Doctorate (J.D.)
•Experience in one or more of the following: commercial transactions, litigation, commercial contracts, employment law, or internal investigations.
•Prior experience working in a service industry or providing legal services in the hospitality or commercial real estate industry is extremely helpful, not required
