What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate and organize credentialing and privileging requests for physicians and advanced practice professionals
- Verify and document credentials and expirables to ensure compliance with accreditation standards
- Investigate and validate discrepancies and adverse information related to provider credentials
- Maintain confidentiality and manage clinical provider information within the credentialing database
- Collaborate with medical staff offices to ensure timely approval processes and compliance with regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital regulatory credentialing experience
- At least 1 year of experience maintaining data in MD Staff or a similar credentialing database
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
- CPCS or CPMSM certification required within 24 months of hire if not currently certified
- High School Diploma or GED required
