      Project: Be a part of our international consultancy business that spans our five global hubs, where we oversee work for world-leading organisations across the public and private sectors.

      Our Middle East and North Africa hub started in 1998 and has successfully operated in a wide range of countries, delivering project and programme management and cost consultancy services.

      Your responsibilities will include:

      • Undertaking responsibilities independently or with minimal supervision with the expectation that you can oversee the work of graduate surveyors, as required.

      • Being competent in the measurement of quantities for input into cost models, cost plans, cost estimates and bills of quantities using both traditional and digital methods.

      • Having the ability to create area schedules.

      • Being proficient in the use of estimating/billing software such as CostX.

      • Preparing cost modelling and benchmarking dashboards.

      • Undertaking viability studies and cost estimating throughout the design stages with an emphasis on cost control and design to budget.

      • Feeding into the rate database by undertaking market research where necessary to support the accuracy of estimating.

      • Undertaking value engineering studies at key stages of the design development.

      • Undertaking benchmarking of projects including cost and parametric elements.

      • Being involved in the preparation of the documentation for tendering.

      • Managing the analysis of tender returns and preparation of tender reports.

      • Undertaking the valuation of contractor’s monthly applications including measured works, preliminaries, materials on site etc.

      • Maintaining the change management log.

      • Maintaining the monthly cost report and ensuring that it reflects the latest status of the project.

      • Undertaking project cash flow reporting.

      • Supporting the review/analysis of quantum for contractors’ claims.

      • Assisting with agreeing on the final account with providing input as required.

      • Ensuring compliance with all QA/QC requirements.

      About you

      You hold a bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) from an accredited, internationally recognized institution or University, having MRICS accreditation preferred, or working towards MRICS or equivalent accreditation, you are able to measure in accordance with the main rules of measurement applicable to the MENA region, including POMI, NRM, etc, you are familiar with FIDIC suite of construction contracts.

      You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships, and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or cost consultancy or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
