      The Superior Court of California, County of San Mateo is currently seeking an exceptional leader to join their team as Court Commissioner.

      This is a limited term, at-will position. Limited Term Employees are assigned to assignments not to exceed three years. They receive medical and dental benefits, similar to regular employees, and a defined contribution retirement plan. The eligible list generated from this recruitment may be used to fill future extra-help, term, unclassified, and regular classified vacancies. This is a limited term recruitment. Anyone may apply.       2. Describe your community or civic service experience. Include the name(s) of the organization, the service provided, the time period, and, if practicable, the name and telephone number of any person(s) who can provide a reference regarding your service.
      3. Describe, if applicable, any previous Judge Pro Tem service. Please specify the court, specialty area and time period of service.
      4. Please list the names and telephone numbers of three professional references who are not a sitting judge, commissioner or staff in this court.
      5. Describe any commendations or disciplines issued by the California or other State Bar. Please include the year of the action.
      6. Please provide a sample of your professional legal writing.

      The selection process will consist of an application screening based on the candidates’ experience and responses to the supplemental questions. Candidates who pass the application screening will be invited to a panel interview. Incomplete application materials will not be considered.
