- Masters Degree in Art Therapy, Dance Therapy, Music Therapy or Drama Therapy. Completion of supervised clinical training at the graduate level in an institution certified or recognized by the specific national certifying or registering organization.

Assesses the specific needs of individual patients and programs from a Creative Arts Therapy perspective, particularly from the specific professional background of their discipline: Art, Dance, Music or Drama Therapy

Responsibilities
1.Plans and implements individual and group Creative Arts Therapy programs appropriate for the setting
2.Provides case management to program patients
3.Carries a caseload and coordinate Case Management as defined by the setting
4.Assesses status of patients, assists patients in problem identification and realistic, disposition oriented treatment planning
5.Follows patients progress
6.Makes treatment plan recommendations
7.Coordinates all treatment for caseload
8.Makes specific program and treatment recommendations regarding the creative/expressive needs of patients
9.Develops and implements, through documentation and protocols, the types of treatment appropriate to area of specialization
10.Develops and adapts treatment goals and modalities for patients unable to tolerate group interactions
11.When credentialed and/or adequately supervised, may conduct group therapy or other specialized treatment modalities
12.Documents patient progress in a neat, clear, and timely fashion following the units standards for documentation
