      Job Summary

      The Zendesk Creative Lab brings Zendesk to life by designing high-impact brand moments that are aligned with our voice, look, and feel, and stand out from the competition. We ensure a cohesive and consistent brand experience through our guidelines, creative direction, and partnership with agencies and Marketing business partners.

      The Creative Lead, Product Storytelling is responsible for the way we represent Zendesk products across Marketing touchpoints. Reporting to the VP of Creative, this role is part of the creative leadership team and works collaboratively with our partners in product design and product marketing to create product stories that are clear, memorable, and compelling to customers and prospects. While this is an individual contributor role, this person will work collaboratively with our multi-talented studio team to produce assets that will live across the brand experience, for example: product demos, product imagery, keynote presentations, and web experiences.

      Key responsibilities:

      • Define and scale our product storytelling design language

      • Develop a robust design system that informs our design language across campaigns, web, events, and social

      • Generate concepts and mood boards to develop our product stories into strong imagery and easy to understand experience;

      • Build relationships and collaborate with executive partners to build world class assets that resonate with customers and drive business growth

      • Stay in-tune with industry best practices, trends, and cultural shifts to inform our best practices, introducing new ideas and approaches to keep our work fresh and relevant

      • Lead and oversee the work of designers to ensure the brand and product marketing vision is perfectly expressed

      • Demonstrate a willingness to learn our products deeply and inspire the team

      • Model our values and leadership attributes in all communication and interactions

      • Ensure excellence in the work with clear creative direction and psychologically safe team critiques and discussions

      • Foster team connection, diversity, and inspiration throughout the creative process

      • Ensure efficiency and productivity within the Creative Lab

      • Ensure adherence to operational standards in Asana while collaborating with the creative operations team on proactive resourcing solutions

      • Create an environment where the Creative Lab is able to deliver the simplest solution

      • Provide relevant information, tools, and resources that help the team do their best work

      Skills required:

      • Experience with cross-functional group facilitation, creative ideation, and strategic concept development

      • Strong business acumen skills, including financial literacy, executive presence, and project management

      • Ability to translate complex business problems into inspiring creative opportunities

      • Provide clear creative direction and feedback to internal creative team and agency partners

      • Systems design and generative AI

      • Proficiency in Apple Keynote, Adobe, Figma, and Google apps


      The US annualized base salary range for this position is $135,000.00-$203,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
