Job Description/Summary: Job Pay (Hourly/Salary): Pay range: $50K to $55K Annually
This position works Wednesday thru Sunday (1p to 10p), in a cross-functional role in the Creative Services and Promotions Department. This position requires someone who is highly motivated and creative with responsibilities and experience shooting and editing nightly news topicals that are on-brand, plus effective and compelling on-air promos, digital marketing campaigns, image spots across all platforms, and the creation of push tease notifications for the 4:00p, 5:30p, and 10:00p news. This position will also be part of the Creative Services team, writing, producing, shooting, and editing broadcast quality spots for use across all platforms.
This Producer position will serve in a cross-functional role conceptualizing, writing, lighting shooting, editing nightly news topicals for on-air newscasts, creating compelling station promos, working various live events to promote the station and create broadcast quality tv commercials, long/short-form videos for the Creative Services Department.
Qualifications/Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this position must have at least 3+ years of combined experience as a Promotions Producer and Creative Services Producer with demonstrated experience writing, shooting, and editing compelling nightly news topicals, and strong experience conceptualizing, writing, lighting, shooting, and editing broadcast quality tv commercials, long/short-form videos, and digital marketing at a local TV station in a fast-paced news environment.
- Must be self-motivated, have passion, motivation, solid work ethic, and positive attitude to work both independently, and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team to meet strong deadlines, and the ability to work collectively with all personality types.
- Must have the flexibility of days and hours that are compatible and commonplace for the position and working in a busy and sometimes stressful news environment.
- The successful candidate for this opportunity MUST have strong editing skills using Adobe Creative Suite (specifically: Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
- Experience creating push notifications is preferred but not required.
- A strong working knowledge of Cinema 4D or other 3D modeling and animation software is a plus!
