- Bachelor degree in business or finance from accredited college or equivalent experience desired.
- Two years of experience in credit administration analysis within banking/lending environment preferred.
- Familiarity with document imaging systems preferred.
Description
We are seeking a Credit Administration Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of routine analytical and administrative functions that support the management of the commercial loan portfolio of the Bank. The Credit Administration Specialist will ensure adherence to Bank, Federal, and State regulations. This position requires knowledge of commercial lending, regulations, documentation, and the ability to audit and resolve a variety of commercial/commercial real estate related discrepancies to meet expected standards.
The incumbent will maintain and manage incoming financial statements, ensure compliance with terms and conditions of the loan agreement, upload to the Bank’s electronic documentation system, and provide tickler-reporting management in coordination with the commercial lending department. Provide direct support to the Credit Administration Officer and Chief Credit Officer of the Bank.
Essential Functions
1. Assist in various loan administration duties; utilize various systems, generate and verify accuracy of various reports.
2. Assist in researching information, compiling data, and handling a variety of projects related to the commercial loan portfolio.
3. Review commercial loan approvals, reporting, and scanning into the Bank’s electronic documentation solution.
4. Process all incoming financial statements to include covenant analysis, default reporting, and scanning into the Bank’s electronic documentation solution to ensure all loan covenants are adhered to and the financial risk is managed appropriately.
5. Monitor and generate coming due and past due tickler reports, reminder letters and emails to customers to include default reporting.
6. Perform a monthly quality review/post-closing audit to ensure the terms and conditions of the loan approval align with the business loan agreement and all the necessary portfolio-monitoring activities have been implemented according the Bank’s established standards.
7. Assist with monitoring monthly borrowing base certificates to ensure collateral coverage is adequate.
8. Assist with scheduling and preparing a variety of reports for loan committee.
9. Assist with a variety of monthly and quarterly board reports.
10. Provide support with ordering and reviewing a variety of third-party reports (appraisal, environmental, seismic, property inspections, collateral examinations, etc.).
11. Assist in the management of third-party vendor panels.
12. Amend loan policy modifications under the guidance of the CCO and Credit Manager to include tracking.
13. Provides back up to the Administration Department as needed.
14. Other duties as assigned
