We are also only considering applicants who are currently residing in the United States.Job OverviewThe Credit Strategy Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic initiatives designed to optimize credit performance and manage risk exposure. This role blends strategic planning with data-driven financial analysis to support business growth and ensure sustainable lending practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, credit analysis, and strategic planning, enabling them to provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve credit portfolio performance. Business acumen mixed with analytical skills are required for success in the role.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & Analysis:-Develop and refine credit strategies by analyzing market trends, economic data, and portfolio performance.-Perform scenario analysis and stress testing to assess the impact of economic variables on credit risk and returns.-Collaborate with leadership to define strategic objectives and drive initiatives aligned with the company’s risk appetite and growth targets.Data Analysis & Reporting:-Collect, validate, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the credit portfolio.-Build and maintain robust analytical models that integrate market data, internal performance metrics, and risk indicators.-Prepare detailed reports and dashboards that communicate key findings, strategy effectiveness, and actionable insights to stakeholders.Portfolio Management & Risk Mitigation:-Evaluate the composition of the current credit portfolio to identify areas for improvement and risk reduction.-Recommend strategies for portfolio diversification, risk adjustments, and product improvements to enhance credit quality.-Monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks and provide insights for ongoing optimization.Stakeholder Collaboration:-Work closely with risk management, finance, and business development teams to align credit strategies with overall business goals.-Provide strategic input during the product development process and contribute to the design of new credit products.-Facilitate discussions with senior management by presenting data-driven insights and comprehensive strategy updates.Process Improvement & Innovation:-Identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of credit strategy processes through technology and data innovations.-Lead initiatives aimed at modernizing data collection, risk assessment, and reporting tools to support strategic decision-making.-Evaluate and implement best practices from industry leaders to continuously improve strategy development.-The successful candidate is expected to leverage generative AI tools to significantly enhance their own and our team’s capabilities.\nRequired Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
Experience:
-1-3 years of experience in credit analysis, financial strategy, or risk management roles.
-Demonstrated experience with strategic planning and execution in a financial or banking environment.
Technical Skills:
-Proficiency in data analytics and statistical software tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, or R).
-Strong experience with data visualization tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to effectively communicate insights.
-Experience in Generative AI is required
-Familiarity with credit risk models and quantitative analysis methodologies.
