What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure the safety and security of clients during crisis situations
- Provide leadership and support to staff and clients in crisis management
- Maintain communication with Centralized Placement Support Unit (CPSU) staff to ensure effective supervision
- Assist clients in de-escalating after a crisis and process incidents to prevent future occurrences
- Document incidents and maintain accurate records of client behavior and team meetings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BA/BS Degree or Child Development Teaching Permit, or equivalent educational qualifications
- Minimum of 100 hours of experience working with youth in relevant settings
- Must possess Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification and maintain CPR/First Aid certifications
- Valid California Driver's License and eligibility to drive for business purposes
- Must be at least 21 years of age
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in a group home or short-term therapeutic center for at least one year
- Knowledge of child/adolescent development and behavior
- Strong crisis intervention skills and ability to relate positively to children and families
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a team-oriented environment
