What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems supporting academic and administrative functions
- Collaborate with senior developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to design and implement solutions
- Engage in problem identification and provide effective solutions with limited supervision
- Participate in professional and technical development, including occasional travel
- Work across various teams within the Division of Information Technology

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field; or any bachelor's degree plus one or more years of professional experience; or a High School Diploma (or GED) with 5 or more years of related professional experience
- Legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently carry out assignments
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with software development on Windows or Linux platforms
- Familiarity with revision control/source code management tools such as git
- Previous application development experience in higher education
