      What You'll Do:

      The Curriculum and Instruction Specialist provides College-wide efforts to support continuous course quality improvement, faculty understanding of course resources, and preparation of faculty with the general education and nursing core curriculum.

      Essential responsibilities:
      • Drive curriculum development and quality improvement
        • Participate in evaluation and continuous quality improvement of the prelicensure BSN curriculum.
        • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts on the development and revision of course content, ensuring alignment with regulatory and industry standards.
        • Develop and revise assessment tools to ensure consistency in evaluating learning outcomes and curriculum effectiveness.
        • Partner with instructional designers to ensure alignment of course shells in learning management system with planning documents.
      • Support faculty with curriculum implementation
        • Conduct routine course meetings to support faculty in curriculum implementation, integrating evidence-based teaching/learning activities, and educational technology into the classroom.
        • Facilitate onsite in-service trainings on curricular resources as needed.
      • Integrate educational technology in curriculum
        • Effectively integrate educational technology and active learning activities into the curriculum
        • Serve as a content expert on educational technology resources integrated into the curriculum and partner with the Educational Technology Specialist to facilitate faculty training sessions.
      • Continuously manage curriculum to College and regulatory requirements
        • Perform routine audits of course shells in the learning management system to maintain alignment with approved curriculum and resources.
        • Maintain updated course materials, syllabi, and textbook list for all courses across the curriculum.
        • Collaborate with Course Design and Development team to resolve course help desk tickets.
        • Manage curriculum documents to comply with CCNE Accreditation Standard III and collaborate with College subject matter experts to satisfy relevant state requirements.


      What We Need From You:

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

      Must have:
      • A master's degree in nursing or a related field from an institution accredited by the US Secretary of Education or CHEA or evidence of an equivalent degree.
      • A minimum of 3 years' experience teaching in a prelicensure registered nursing program.
      • Knowledge of program evaluation and quality improvement procedures.
      • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
      • Experience with educational technology resources in higher education.
      • Excellent project management skills.


      Nice to have:
      • Significant course work or equivalent experience in Curriculum and Instruction or related field.
      • Experience facilitating faculty training.
      • Resides near an open and operating campus.
      • Holds a current unencumbered registered nursing license in state of residence.
