      MIND Education is dedicated to research on learning, the brain, and developing effective math education programs, resources, and services. MIND's uniquely visual math education process engages the learner's spatial-temporal reasoning abilities to explain, understand, and solve multi-step problems.

      We are currently seeking an experienced and innovative professional who is able to successfully design innovative curriculum resources and instructional supports that will transform the way teachers teach, students learn, and families engage with mathematics.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Develop a comprehensive and cohesive core curriculum, including all related materials
      • Develop and revise math lessons for K-6 classrooms that build student conceptual understanding
        • Create activities and materials for both print and online interactive platforms
        • Connect the resources developed to state and national standards, mathematical practices/processes, and help design other resource materials as needed
        • Design experiences that promote student voice, identity, agency, and culturally relevant teaching practices
      • Design resources and instructional support materials for teachers and families
        • Create materials to support the development of the teacher as a facilitator of learning
        • Developing resources specifically designed to empower families to engage in mathematics in fun, interactive, and meaningful ways
      • Participate in collaborative, cross-functional teams to provide and receive feedback on your team’s work.
        • Internalize feedback to create multiple iterations to develop high-quality work.
        • Be willing to adapt and adjust your thinking as you collaborate across the organization

      Qualifications


      Required qualifications:

      • Bachelor Degree required
      • At least 5 years experience teaching math in a K-6 elementary setting
      • Experience with curriculum development
      • Expertise in mathematical standards and progressions
      • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
      • Commitment to MIND’s mission to mathematically equip all students to solve the world’s most challenging problems
      • Humility & commitment to continual learning

      Preferred qualifications:

      • Experience with ST Math
      • Experience designing assessments
      • Instructional coaching experience in mathematics
      • Single subject math credential (e.g., elementary math specialist)
      • National Board Certification

      Benefits :

      This is a full time, 12 month contract role, on the Curriculum and Instruction Team, reporting to the Curriculum Development Director. This is a fully remote role and can be anywhere in the United States, as long as you don't mind turning on your webcam to build a rapport, even from a distance. This role will require occasional travel. There is an opportunity to convert to a non contracted colleague after 12 months, based on performance and needs.
