The Customer Experience & Events Marketing Manager is a skilled collaborator and leader who will lead our event marketing strategy and execution inside the energy & sustainability consulting division of Schneider Electric, the Sustainability Business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing hosted events, from intimate executive roundtables to large-scale conferences, as well as any third-party events, sponsorships, and virtual events. This individual will play a key role in enhancing our brand's presence and client/prospect engagement in these forums. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated and creative individual to join a highly engaged and effective team in a rewarding and rapidly changing market space. Key Responsibilities Strategic Events Planning: deliver an innovative, customer-centric event marketing plan to support the annual business priorities and brand strategy. Leverage various event types and tactics within investment guidance and champion the strategy with co-collaborators and executives. New ideas welcome! Team Leadership: Lead and/or mentor a team of event and marketing professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration to ensure a best-in-class experience for our clients. Hosted Event Planning & Execution: Manage all aspects of hosted event planning and execution, including concept development, venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, and logistics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, and executive leadership, to ensure event success and alignment with overall company goals. Negotiate contracts with venues, suppliers, and service providers to ensure high-quality deliverables within budget. Ensure compliance with all legal, health, and safety obligations for event planning and execution. Support Event Promotion & Materials: Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to promote events and drive attendance. Oversee the creation of event materials and branding, including digital and print collateral, event websites and branded merchandise. Third-Party or Virtual Event Support: Support, and mentor team members responsible for, event activity related to third-party events in which we are exhibitors, speakers and/or attendees. Measurement and Insights: Analyze event performance and gather attendee feedback to measure ROI and inform future event strategies. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in event marketing to continuously improve event experiences. Strong communication, presentation, and budget management skills. Internal Ability to work well with levels of the organization, and mentor junior team members. Open to change and must embrace the concept of continuous improvement. Essential skills, qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in event marketing, preferably within a large organization. Proven track record of planning and executing successful corporate events. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and attention to detail. An excitement for creating engaging and educational experiences Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel as needed for event planning and execution. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher). Advanced PowerPoint skills preferred.
