      In this role, you'll:

      Deliver exceptional service and provide streamline experiences when assisting passengers with inquiries, helping with luggage on their journey and connecting them to regional services.

      Be responsible for a broad range of day-to-day station operations as well as manage the station presentation, general maintenance and cleaning.

      Work alongside our train crew and other stakeholders to ensure that all safety standards are met and manage any potential safety risks that may arise and impact staff and passengers.

      All our positions work off a shift roster where your days, start and finish times will vary based on the location and business requirements. You may also be required to work additional hours at short notice with the potential for overtime.

      A Talent Pool will be created for current and future temporary and permanent, full-time, and part-time positions at Newcastle and the Central Coast the next 18-month period. If you are deemed suitable at interview and a vacancy arises in your preferred location, you may be contacted and asked to complete pre-employment checks.

      About you

      • You are enthusiastic and have a passion to work within your local community; you want to be on the frontline and the first point of contact when our passengers arrive at your station.

      • You are resilient and have outstanding interpersonal skills to provide clear and accurate instructions and can manage difficult conversations with a diverse range of people from all walks of life.

      • You are confident and have the ability to problem solve and make prompt decisions in a fast-paced environment under pressure whilst working alongside a variety of stakeholders in a safety focused operational environment.
