What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the primary liaison for members and providers regarding program inquiries, eligibility verifications, and claims
- Handle and resolve customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction
- Research and triage customer issues using available resources
- Maintain detailed call logs to document customer interactions and actions taken
- Act as a representative for the employer, focusing on first call resolution and building effective customer relationships
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years in a customer service environment
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Ability to manage difficult customer interactions with patience and courtesy
- Capacity to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
- Bilingual (Spanish) or other languages
- 2+ years of experience in an HMO or healthcare setting
- Understanding of medical terminology and medical coding
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
