What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable by reviewing and following up on outstanding balances
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and relevant parties to resolve billing issues
- Investigate and resolve billing disputes by gathering documentation and coordinating with the billing department
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, ensuring accurate billing and claim submission
- Assist patients in understanding their medical bills and payment options
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Healthcare Management preferred
- Knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance claim submission
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining documentation
