What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to and resolve customer service inquiries on the first call by identifying the assistance needed
- Educate customers about consumer-driven health care and help them select the best benefit plan options
- Contact care providers on behalf of customers to assist with appointment scheduling
- Assist customers in navigating online health care resources and encourage self-sufficiency
- Handle 50-70 calls per day, acting as an advocate for customers regarding their health benefits

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent years of experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of 2+ years of work or volunteer experience in a customer service environment
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 4:35 PM EST, with potential overtime
- Reside within the state of New York

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in sales or account management
- Familiarity with healthcare or insurance environments, including medical terminology
- Background in social work, behavioral health, or health promotion
- Experience working with vulnerable populations
