- Reporting to the Engineering System Owner within Cyber and Software you will lead and manage product security assurance across a number of major Dreadnought systems supplied to the Ministry Of Defence
- Lead and support product security activities, including technical reviews and assessments of product security architectures and designs across a diverse range of complex whole boat and platform software intensive systems
- You will develop and update cyber security good practices and help ensure the techniques, policies, procedures, and knowledge to enable us to implement them across the dreadnought programme
- Advise and collaborate with Submarine Tier 1 and sub-tier suppliers and wider enterprise stakeholders to ensure product security arrangements and controls are compliant with industry and MOD standards
- Provide product security assurance including supplier assessment, auditing and reporting of risks and issues associated with critical whole boat systems to enable acceptance and accreditation
- You will provide technical advice and guidance in developing whole boat and Major System Security Cases against an established industry-based measure of performance and maturity
- Cyber security experience is preferable, however strong experience within systems engineering/safety engineering and an understanding of the underpinning principles, including how to manage risk cases will allow for further development of knowledge in post
- Knowledge and experience of developing product security assurance cases for complex systems across multiple organisations with extensive stakeholders and interfaces
- Knowledge and experience of Security Management systems and the development of product security across Nuclear, Aerospace and Maritime domains
- Science, Technology or Engineering degree with related Cyber Security content and experience
- Knowledge of Industrial Controls System Security to industry development standards and best practices including Secure By Design, NIST Framework and controls, IEC62243, IEC 27000 series and industry threat model frameworks
- Knowledge of Submarine Control and Instrumentation software/intensive systems including Platform, propulsion and combat systems

Salary: From £56,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience
