Job Description

- Review and update documentation for policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
- Research and evaluate applications and services for use by Eskenazi Health. Provide a matrix when possible, detailing features within each different application or service.
- Assistance with the deployment and upkeep of the information security department’s training content.
- Provide first level compliance monitoring.
- Assist with analysis and fact gathering.
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for specific applications, services, networks and servers as required.
- Assist with security applications/tools including but not limited to Cisco AMP/Umbrella/Firepower, Cisco ESA/SMA e-mail gateway protection/analysis/DLP, KnowBe4 Phishing Simulation, Rapid7 Vulnerability scanning.
- Assist with compliance audits against institutionally accepted security controls.

- This is a part-time position; incumbent must be available 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Must be a full-time undergraduate/graduate student in good academic standing, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Maintain good (digital) citizenship.
- Must uphold, enforce, and abide by all institutional policies.
- Strong oral and writing skills.
- Preference given to students enrolled with a concentration in Information Security or majoring in Computer Science.
- Preference given to students currently in military service with a Military Occupation Specialty for either Cyber Security or Information Technology

Job Role Summary
The Cyber Security Intern is a results-oriented part time, paid position that has day-to-day hands-on experience with all levels of access including entry level, application level and physical level. The incumbent will be responsible for limited decision making on threats and alerts that span the organization.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Information Security office with many components of the Information Security program. The incumbent will be expected to learn and apply various security tools, best practices and methodologies.
