What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems and networks
- Design and validate configurations of network security solutions, including firewalls and VPNs
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses
- Respond to system and network security events, incidents, and breaches
- Write comprehensive reports on security assessments and propose enhancements

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in networking and security for medium to large enterprises
- Proven experience in configuring and managing Palo Alto and Aruba network security solutions
- Knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies with a focus on security
- Hands-on experience in security systems, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Current knowledge of technology capabilities and trends related to hacking attacks
- One of five potential security-related certifications or ability to acquire a Public Trust security clearance
- Familiarity with web-related technologies and network/web protocols
- Experience in IDS/IPS, penetration, and vulnerability testing
- Secure coding practices and ethical hacking knowledge
