What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor the Security Operations Dashboard for alerts and respond to inquiries from multiple shared mailboxes
- Handle Incident Response and Administrative tickets while investigating security incidents and escalating as needed
- Develop data mining queries using Splunk ES and communicate clearly with leadership, customers, and peers
- Provide vulnerability, threat, and risk mitigation support and assist with daily Operations briefings
- Support customer-defined metrics reports and government data calls

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Active DOD Top Secret Clearance
- Work experience in a Network Security background, including a good understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and major Internet protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a SOC environment with flexible scheduling
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical certifications such as Security +, CEH, GREM, and/or CISSP

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Linux OS
- Familiarity with SIEM tools such as Splunk
- Knowledge of IDS tools and technologies
- Completion of "Splunk Fundamentals 1" prior to start
