      Position Summary

      A Cybersecurity Analyst at Georgia Aquarium is responsible for Information safety and security throughout the organization. Including monitoring and analyzing network data and protecting against potential threats to the network and end user devices. Ensures that hardware and software applications are frequently monitored and updated with the latest patches and firmware. This position reports to the Sr. Systems Engineer.

      Responsibilities:

      • Promote awareness of information safety and security by working with Training Department to enhance cybersecurity e-learning for aquarium end users, and partners.
      • Enforce policies and procedures to protect computer data against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.
      • Daily monitoring and support for security platform tools, virus reports and end user requests.
      • Monitor and respond to cybersecurity alerts and suspicious email submissions from end users and external sources.
      • Conduct Monthly Vulnerability scans and Annual Penetration Test. Analyze, document, and develop plans to improve security posture based on report.
      • First responder to security breaches and phishing attacks.
      • Develop guidelines for effective incident escalations to senior level management.
      • Maintain up-to-date PCI DSS and GDPR compliance.
      • Annual review of IT Disaster Recovery policy and procedures. Modify according to the business needs.
      • Report on weekly SOC review meetings with 3rd party vendors
      • Conduct simulated network and email phishing attacks to heighten cybersecurity awareness.
      • Assist with network infrastructure troubleshooting, decommissioning and upgrades.
      • Share in all department responsibilities and provide network administration assistance.

      Qualifications:

      • 3-5yrs experience in an Information Security role troubleshooting, monitoring network traffic, and user support across various operating systems including Apple IOS, Windows, and Linux.
      • CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+), CompTIA Security+, Network+ - preferred.
      • Experience with AD, GPOs, Security groups, Windows Servers, Desktop OS.
      • Effective planning, organizational, time management, and follow up skills, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and ability to execute quickly, timely and efficiently.
      • Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
      • Proficient in Microsoft 365, Window/Azure AD, MS Defender environment and various virus protection applications.
      • Expanded experience with IT network components and services. Including ASA, VPN, etc.
      • Demonstrate excellent business written and verbal communications skills.
      • Demonstrate understanding of NIST Cybersecurity Framework
      • Candidate must be of high integrity and can be trusted with confidential business information.
      • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and information security issue resolution techniques.
      • Aptitude and willingness to expand subject matter expertise in business areas such as ticketing, telecommunications, fund raising, accounting and HR.
      • High School diploma or equivalent – required. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analysis, Incident Response, or related field – preferred.
      • Equivalent combination of education, training, certifications and/or comparable work experience may be considered.
