What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to and manage cybersecurity incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Analyze security events using logs, alerts, and monitoring tools to identify anomalies and suspicious activities
- Utilize forensic analysis tools to investigate compromised systems
- Maintain and create incident response policies, playbooks, and procedures
- Conduct post-incident analysis to improve security measures and prevent future incidents
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Hands-on experience in incident response and managing cybersecurity incidents
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanning tools
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC certifications
- Strong understanding of the incident response lifecycle, including identification and recovery processes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of cloud security and specific challenges associated with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Ability to stay current with evolving threats and security technologies
- Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Strong ethical integrity and adherence to confidentiality guidelines
- Calm demeanor under pressure, especially during active security breaches
