Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities

As a member of the BI Team, you will play a key role in the analytics development process and data model creation.

Key Objectives

• In charge of formatting and extracting raw data from various business applications in accordance with analytics requirements.
• Provides the expertise regarding data sources, extraction tools and KPI definitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside BI development team to provide technical support and consultation to define and develop requirements into a data format that allows a technical solution to be created and implemented.
• Extract and interpret data, while identifying patterns and trends in data sets.
• Interact with business lines to clarify business requirements.
• Analyse impact of business requirements on the existing BI solutions and provide opinions/recommendations.
• Participate in the solution design, support development and testing.
• Develop and maintain documentations regarding data extraction procedure and KPI definitions.
• Act as a person of contact from the BI Team regarding data extraction tools

• Experience in liaising with stakeholders for scoping and gathering requirements.
• Seek technical and professional information and processes regarding area of responsibility to enhance department knowledge base.

Qualifications

• Extremely passionate about data and analytics.
• Profficiency in Excel, experience in reporting and data models.
• Ability to analyse large datasets.
• An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving with great attention to details.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills; a team player and keen learner who loves building great things together.
• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science/Mathematics/Statistics or a related field.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with VBA and macro building in Excel.
• Basic knowledge of and ideally some experience with data science topics like machine learning, data mining, statistics and visualisation.
