- Perform all essential functions and aspects of the job including any other specific job requirements.
- Assists in the generation of top-quality reports and analyze output to support operational activities in the areas of Distribution Services
- Designs, builds and maintains small applications that report on contractor invoices, invoice workload, financial performance, and billing unit analysis
- Works indirectly through senior team members with business partners to improve processes and resolve
- operational challenges.
- Performs frequent ad hoc data mining, reporting, and generation of decision support data and presentation.
- Develop data visualizations to support Distribution Services
- Develop and pull routine data to support recurring reports and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management or Computer Science or equivalent work is preferred
- Working level experience in analytical roles- business and/or operations
- A basic understanding of database design from desktop to mainframe and data warehousing
- Some data mining experience in a heterogeneous database environment preferred
- Data visualization development
- Ability to write new SQL queries and understand existing queries utilizing various DBMS systems including Oracle, MS Access, and/or DBeaver
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on EXCEL
- Advanced analytic/computer skills preferred
- Working knowledge of Tableau preferred
- Basic knowledge of Maximo preferred
- Accurate and timely periodic reporting.
- Able to handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Resolve operational opportunities in a timely fashion.
Salary Range: $75,035 - $100,047

The data analyst position provides both broad and detailed operational analysis to multiple work groups within the Distribution Services Organization. This position assists in monitoring and tracking contractor billing, and developing change requests and defects concerning various Oncor system platforms. The data analyst position provides analysis of issues to identify impacts on Distribution construction contractors and Distribution Services. In addition, the data analyst position identifies operational opportunities for improvement across various departments within Oncor.
This position using knowledge and experience provides analytic support to Distribution Services.
