      POSITION SUMMARY:

      Ideal candidate is a diligent problem solver who utilizes data in creative ways to drive data decision making aimed at achieving organizational goals. Responsible for extracting, compiling, organizing and managing large and varied sets of healthcare data, analyzing data to assist in delivering optimal healthcare management and communicating their findings through use of data visualization and detailed reports.

      ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

      1. Extract, compile and organize healthcare data.
      2. Analyze data to assist in delivering optimal healthcare management and decision making.
      1. Ensure that standard business definitions are applied appropriately in all forms of reporting
      2. Create data visualization, such as charts and graphs, in Excel and other business intelligence tool
      1. Use healthcare data to drive decision making to achieve patient and organizational goals.
      2. Understanding data storage and data sharing methods.
      3. Investigate data to find patterns and trends.
      4. Utilize different data sources for analyses (e.g. cost, claims or clinical data)
      5. Convert raw data into usable information that is easy to understand.
      6. Develop reports and presentations.
      7. Communicate analytic insights to management.
      8. Identify process improvement opportunities to improve data relevance.
      9. Generate ad hoc reports for management.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
      • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail
      • Ability to demonstrate responsibility and dependability when completing assignments
      • Plan and organize work according to established priorities and complete assignments accurately within established time frames.
      • Demonstrates professionalism, cooperation, courtesy and consideration when working effectively with varied people.
      • Highly analytical and skilled in healthcare administration as well as business management
      • Knowledge of data management applications. Proficient in Microsoft office suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Word as well as Tableau, Cerner, Premier and BFR
      • Knowledge and experience with electronic medical record system software and reporting capabilities.
      • Ability to write, speak and interact clearly and professionally
      • Extremely organized with strong multi-tasking and time-management skills
      • Understanding of business processes, ROI, cost analyses, and financial modeling.
      • Understanding of role of data in process improvement and predictive analysis
      • Basic understanding healthcare business operations.
      • Able to handlea sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
      • Bachelors Degree in Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Healthcare Administration or Business related or equivalent field preferred or years of experience equivalent with a certificate in data analytics
      • Certified Health Data Analyst or similar preferred
      • Two or more years of related experience in an analytic role
