Data Analyst

The Tennessee Titans are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our dynamic Football Research and Development team. As an integral member of our organization, the Data Analyst role will play a crucial role in leveraging data to drive informed decision-making and enhance our team's overall performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, excellent SQL skills, experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, and an ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple, concise manner.

Responsibilities :

• Analyze large datasets for actionable insights on player performance, team strategy, and game dynamics.
• Assist in developing statistical models to evaluate player and team performance metrics.
• Collaborate with external vendors and data sources to extract insights.
• Utilize SQL to query databases and extract relevant data for analysis.
• Create comprehensive and visually appealing reports and dashboards to communicate findings to analytics management team and other members of the organization.
• Work closely with strategy/analytics management team, and other departments to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with fellow department members to enhance overall data analytics capabilities.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in data analytics.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Math, Data Analysis, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• 1 to 3 years experience in data analytics, experience within the sports industry is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with data visualization software, Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
• Proficiency in R or Python, R is preferred
• Strong SQL skills
• Analytical and quantitative skills
• Effective communication skills
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with others across the organization.
• Passion for sports analytics and a deep understanding of football concepts is a plus.
