- Gather lists of reference data required
- Engage with Ref Data consumers to ensure correct data is captured and stores
- Research original sources of reference data
- Review and ensure quality of reference data values (codes, descriptions, relations to other values)
- Introduce reference data lists to a structure of Reference Data store
- Ensure referential integrity of reference data lists
- Design interfaces (no-code Airtable environment) to improve the process of ref data values entry
- Propose improvements to the processes of managing and publishing reference data
- Manage reference data lists on an ongoing basis
- Maintain reference data lists catalogue (including staging area for proposed lists)
- Providing support to Project and Operations teams
- Basic computer knowledge (some knowledge of databases or integration interfaces like API - would be a big advantage)
- Managing tables and data in Excel or any other tool with structured data – would be beneficial

About Howden Group and Rethink:
Howden Group is the world’s largest majority employee-owned insurance group. Rethink is Howden Group’s new digital platform for matching insurance risk to capacity providers. Covid-19 has accelerated an existing trend towards electronic placement of part or all of corporate risks, and brokers and carriers that have timely, accurate and automated placement and underwriting processes will be in the strongest position to maintain margins and grow revenues.
Rethink’s technology roadmap has the following objectives:
● more successfully automate the quoting and placing processes and build out its technology stack, including Rethink’s Underwriting Algorithm and rules engine
● deploy a new underwriting platform to allow for more complex acceptance criteria and data augmentation

About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Individual who wants to enter a career path in Data to help drive forward our ambitions and growth.
You will be joining the Rethink Data Team and will be initially working on populating, maintaining, and improving our crucial reference data management capability. The role is expected to grow with experience to become industry-focused expert in Data.
