      REPORTS TO: Director, Data Research & Evaluation

      SALARY Band: $65,136 - $97,704

      Position Description: The Data Analytics Research and Evaluation Manager provides management and analysis of business data for use in decision-making and organizational efficiency improvement initiatives. This position oversees the development, implementation, and management of data systems and evaluation initiatives that support United Way NCA’s community impact goals. The role ensures that health, education, and economic opportunity programs are evaluated through robust data collection and analysis, driving data-driven decision-making aligned with the organization's mission to benefit the community.

      Key Responsibilities

      1. Strategic Collaboration & Problem Solving:
      2. Develops data-driven solutions to align community needs with organizational priorities.
      3. Facilitates shared accountability through design of evaluation frameworks and reporting systems.
      4. Leverages data to align initiatives with both community priorities and organizational goals.
      5. Collaborates with stakeholders to foster evaluation practices reinforcing community-driven impact.
      6. Data Management & Evaluation:
      7. Aggregates and performs statistical analysis on business data based on project or leadership requests.
      8. Overseas continuous improvement of data collection and reporting systems (e.g., Apricot 360, eC-Impact).
      9. Integrates data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
      10. Provides data insights for strategic decision-making, identifying trends and areas for programmatic improvement.
      11. Guides partners on data collection protocols and ensures grant compliance through robust evaluations.
      12. Knowledge Management:
      13. Develop systems for sharing data insights, best practices, and lessons learned across the organization.
      14. Ensures data policies and procedures are well-documented, accessible, and promote continuous learning.
      15. Training & Capacity Building
      16. Provides technical support and training in data collection techniques for staff and partners.
      17. Build capacity among partners to leverage data for continuous improvement and program management.
      18. Research & Reporting:
      19. Oversee research requests, including literature reviews and benchmarking activities, to inform program design.
      20. Writes queries or reports to support analytical projects and facilitate stakeholder discussions.
      21. Interprets data to identify trends, conduct root cause analysis, and suggest areas for improvement.
      22. Keeps up to date with economic, social, and political trends relevant to United Way NCA’s mission.

      Solid Educational Background and Experience:

      1. Bachelor’s degree in data science, social science, statistics, public policy, or a related field is required.
      2. Minimum three (3) years of experience in research, evaluation, or program management, with a focus on mixed-methods research and data management.
      3. Demonstrated expertise in performance measurement, data visualization, and reporting systems.
      4. Proficiency with statistical tools and data management platforms, such as ETO, Apricot, Tableau, R, or SPSS.
      5. Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
      6. Experience managing relationships with racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities.
