Job Title: Data Engineer/Architect

JOB DESCRIPTION: Theoris is looking for a Data Engineer/Architect to help with planning database schemas for projects, architecting master data, and performing data transformations to populate the data warehouse. Wherescape experience is absolutely needed.


RESPONSBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse architecture following the Medallion architecture framework.
• Implement data engineering solutions to support data science and analytical initiatives.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and scripts for data manipulation and visualization preparation.
• Analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights and support decision-making.
• Ensure best practices in data warehousing principles.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Background in both Data Architecture and Data Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience working in data warehouse environments and executing DW principles in large dataset environments.
• Experience with ETL tools and processes, specifically Wherescape ETL tools.
• Azure Data Factory expertise.
• Strong SQL experience, including complex queries and scripts.
• SQL Server experience.
• Any of these are pluses: MS Fabric, Power BI, Python/R and Medallion Architecture
