Amazon Web Services (AWS) serves customers and developers who rely on storage, compute, and our other service capabilities. Our customers trust us to handle their data with air-tight security measures, which is something that we guarantee.
AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team.
Key job responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver Results
- Oversee contract security staff and daily operations
- Manage data center security
- Coordinate with security vendors
- Maintain availability for emergency response
- Monitor and ensure functionality of security systems
Ownership
- Drive continuous improvement through KPIs and improvement plans
- Ensure proper protocol adherence by all personnel
- Oversee access control, visitor management, and CCTV systems
- Manage facility access badge issuance
- Maintain security equipment through regular inspections
- Implement preventative maintenance programs
Bias for Action
- Investigate security incidents and provide notifications
- Involvement in emergency response plans and evacuation procedures
- Develop relationships with law enforcement and emergency services
Customer Obsession
- Generate security incident reports
- Prepare and deliver presentations to business partners
- Support internal security evaluations
- Ensure compliance with corporate security standards
Earn Trust
- Identify security-related opportunities
- Develop innovative security solutions
- Ensure professional security interactions

- Six Months experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment.
- Knowledge of the administration and operation of: access control systems (Lenel, Milestone) and CCTV systems with digital recording.
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and reliability in fulfilling security responsibilities.
- College Degree (Bachelors) or Background in one or more of: Military (Career/Military Police/Military Special Operations Forces), Law Enforcement with Arrest Authority (Police Academy Graduate), TSA, Security Screening, Correctional Facility Officer
- 2+ years Security experience or equivalent (demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education)
- 1+ year Leadership experience
