Developing scalable and reliable data solutions using ETL tools (primarily FME) and database technologies
Extracting high-quality data from various sources and ensuring its validation and transfer to downstream systems
Applying your logical and analytical skills to solve complex geospatial data capture problems
We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about technology and have experience or skills in
FME and relational databases (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) with spatial extensions
ESRI product suite (SDE, ArcPro, ArcGIS, SWEET, feature services, ArcPy)
Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps (boards, repos, CI/CD pipelines, etc.)
Python and working with complex Geospatial data at scale
Developing and delivering production-ready components
Knowledge of testing approaches and advocating for best practices in data engineering
Interpreting specifications and creating simple, effective solutions
Salary – £ 41,659 - £49,010 (dependent on experience)
Performance related bonus up to 10%

About the Role
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to join our Data Capture Technology team. This team is instrumental in developing applications that capture real-world changes, and we are currently expanding our data range and updating our legacy systems.

Location: We embrace a hybrid working model at OS and understand there is no one size fits all in relation to how we work. We have a fantastic HQ in Southampton, Hampshire where you will be required to spend 1 to 2 days a week in the office with the remaining time being a personal choice as to whether you work from home or spend more time at OSHQ.
