      Job Title: Data Entry Clerk

      Job Description

      We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inputting data, obtaining and managing field data, installing geotechnical instrumentation, and supporting engineering staff in various field activities.

      Responsibilities

      • Input data accurately and efficiently.
      • Obtain and manage field data such as inclinometer readings, open well piezometer levels, pore pressure levels, and surveying.
      • Install geotechnical instrumentation in field environments.
      • Reduce, correlate, and plot instrumentation data.
      • Assist engineering staff in planning and coordinating site access for drilling equipment.
      • Coordinate utility locations (Louisiana, Mississippi, or Texas 811).
      • Obtain permits for site access.
      • Operate the cone penetrometer rig.
      • Operate field resistivity equipment.
      • Prepare daily field activity reports.
      • Apply knowledge of the Unified Soil Classification System (ASTM D 2487) and the AASHTO Soil Classification System (from AASHTO M 145 or ASTM D 3282).
      • Perform percolation tests and infiltration tests.
      • Perform falling or rising head piezometer tests.
      • Inspect construction sites to determine conformance to design specifications.
      • Perform construction materials testing and inspection.
      • Ensure compliance with General Safety Requirements and other contractual safety requirements.
      • Inspect work areas, make safety recommendations, note safety recommendations, and take corrective actions daily.
      • Work as a field soil technician, CMT technician, and/or laboratory technician as needed.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Work Environment

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
