      Job Summary
      SDT is seeking a Data Entry Technicians (2) to work remotely in an effort to meeting our customer data entry and capture requirements. Both environmental data entry technicians will perform the tasks outlined in this duties and Responsibility below. All work shall be performed in accordance with the applicable requirements of the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and best management practices for environmental data entry, including verification, validation, and limited analysis of environmental data.

      The work to be perform for BLM, National Operations Center (NOC) has a requirement for data entry and analysis associated with the BLM's Abandoned Mines and Site Cleanup Module (AMSCM) database. Specifically, you will be performing remote data entry into a system of knowledge of databases and geographic information system (GIS) platforms in accordance scope of work.

      Duties and Responsibilities
      • Work with Task Manager to input, update, delete, and review AMSCM data
      • Work with Task Manager and other specialists (District/field office specialists) to translate digital/paper files into data for entry into AMSCM
      • Support the data integrity of the program by providing Quality Assurance Quality Control (QA/QC) of inputted environmental data
      • Work with Task Manager to document and improve the overall quality of AMSCM data
      • Generate digital map products using AMSCM related data
      • Assist with data sharing and data management activities
      • Coordinate with the Task Manager for data management as follows:
        • Review/input data to AMSCM, for approximately 41,000 sites* and 70,000 features*
        • Re-evaluate and update approximately 50,000 features nationwide
        • Check and verify approximately 130,000 feature records for accuracy
        • Check and verify approximately 60,000 site records for accuracy
      • Ongoing access to data, data entry. and other data management throughout the period of performance
      • Ongoing weekly calls and monthly letter report throughout the period of performance through the end of the period of performance
      • The Contractor will submit a letter report to the BLM annually. The report will fully describe the work that was performed, problems and uncertainties encountered, and provide conclusions and recommendations for related future work in the area. The report will be submitted in draft and final form in hard copy and electronically. The final report must address all comments received on the draft; the Contractor may submit a comment response matrix for BLM approval prior to submitting a final report.

      Work Schedule and Requirement
      • The primary place of performance will be conducted remotely. Due to the requirement for remote data entry on web-based systems, high speed internet access is a necessity.
      • The Government will provide data, computer, software, and equipment necessary to for the contractor to perform the duties describe above. The contractor shall use the Government Furnished Property (GFP) only for authorized purposes. All materials provided or created under this task must be returned to the BLM upon the completion of this task. All materials provided or created under this task are the property of the BLM and will not be released or used by the contractor for any other purpose.

      Skills and Qualifications
      • Education
        • College Graduates of 2 or more years
      • Certificates
        • Data entry certificate if available
      • Other Skills & Abilities
        • Able to work independently or as part of a team
        • Use web tools, office application and other data entry tools
      • Experience
        • Minimum 2-3 years' experience working as a data entry technician
        • Experience with Geographic Information System (GIS) is welcome
