Formulate and implement the Enterprise Data Governance framework, policy and standards that facilitate the company’s ability to leverage data as a strategic asset. This includes establishing enterprise data governance program rules, processes and procedures to ensure effective planning, supervision and control over enterprise data and its use.Create and maintain an enterprise wide data governance framework, with a focus on continuous improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behavior policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture.
Contribute to the vision, long-term objectives and goals of the company and GTS. Align the data governance program to the enterprise corporate strategy and the enterprise information strategy.
Develop and implement standards for identifying, capturing, storing and protecting enterprise master data and other key data.
Ensure enterprise data is captured correctly and create methods for monitoring and reporting data quality and data incidents.
Strategically facilitate and influence communications between technical and business units to guide projects to optimal outcome.
Foster the cross-functional collaboration required to share information that will support and, in most cases, drive fact-based decisions; Assist business stakeholders with technical defect reporting and resolution.
Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of strategic and operational prioritization and planning.
Work closely with senior leadership, data stewards, business architects, subject matter experts, data modelers, application architects, and other IT staff to execute enterprise data governance initiatives.
Provide business process, system support and data quality governance for master data through data coordination and integration to ensure efficient processes and consistent data flows to business and stakeholders.
Develop control structures within the enterprise data governance environment to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels.
Conduct testing and system validation to troubleshoot issues related to master data management and systems.
Continually look for process improvement strategies. Recommend ways to improve data integrity, quality and availability across the enterprise.
Collaborate with business partners and human resources to identify and/or develop tools, resources and training to increase data literacy at all levels of the corporation.
Provide training and support on master data processes to users.
Remain abreast of Data Management best practices.
Drive constructive change and provide leadership.
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Degree in Business Management, Information Science, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
6 years business analysis experience
Experience working in an Analytics or Business Intelligence environment
Working knowledge of Analytics or Business Intelligence modeling principles, SQL, ETL and BI processes in support of developing data governance work products
Working knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data architecture, database management, data security, reference and master data management, data quality management, document record and content management
Ability to act as a mentor and/or technical expert for the team and business partners
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including for complex problems
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for interaction with technical and non-technical employees
Preferred experience in healthcare data management, including HIPAA, PHI, PII, PCI
Strong facilitation skills with the ability to drive issues to closure
Ability to deliver a high level of customer service
Excellent organization skills, detail oriented and ability to multitask
Influence organizational best practices to better suit organization needs
Identify and mitigate risks; contribute to risk management plan
Demonstrated ability to direct others to optimal outcomes
Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties
Proficient with Microsoft office suite of products to develop any necessary materials within the scope of the position#LI-VISIONCARE
Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
