      Data Scientist II, SEM

You will partner with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Analytics organization to shape the future of SEM Landing Page experience. You will be responsible for crafting business cases, operational tests, and growth strategies. Your efforts will guide the SEM team to improve company revenue, reduce cost, increase customer engagement, and enhance the value of our brands.

You will utilize your analytical skills to provide actionable insights on customers’ search behaviour, landing experience, marketing spend, audience targeting and whilst influencing senior leadership for positive outcomes.       What you’ll do:

      • Lead the analytical effort in improving SEM landing page experience

      • Manipulate massive data sets using Python / SQL to identify and prioritize optimization opportunities

      • Create critical reporting dashboards in Tableau to monitor core KPIs in real time

      • Deliver impactful analysis regarding key market forces and apply analytics to present tangible business problems/actions (e.g. seasonality, auction changes, competitor actions, partner marketing strategy)

      • Communicate complex analytical topics in a clean and simple way to team

      • Automate and/or streamline repetitive processes to improve individual and team productivity

      • Use statistics, distributions and confidence intervals to support decisions based on data and implement solutions

      • Troubleshoot and identify root cause of operational issues (e.g., data quality, critical process degradation)

      • Test readouts and statistics application to improve reads and get better tests in place

      Who you are:

      • Bachelor’s degree with strong analytical focus (Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, etc.)

      • Minimum 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

      • Strong analytical skills, including data manipulation, financial analysis and processing large amounts of data to understand trends

      • Excellence in implementation, attention to detail and strong organizational skills

      • Experience in quantitative, mathematics, statistics, science or other fields is preferred

      • Familiarity with Google datasets and cloud platform is a plus

      • Familiarity with Google API a plus

      • Familiarity with landing page testing preferred

      • Experience in SEM, online advertising, paid search or e-commerce is a plus but not required

      • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, combined with a high level of initiative and ability to thrive in a multi-tasking, dynamic environment

      • Experience in online marketing, e-commerce, or equivalent role with an analytical bend is preferred

      • Expert scripting know-how (e.g., Python, R, SAS, SQL)

      • Foundational statistics experience (e.g., t-tests, distributions)

      • Shown success working cross-functionally

      The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $105,500.00 to $148,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $169,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

      Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
