- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of machine learning pipelines in Databricks and AWS that enable real-time data-driven decision-making.
- Work closely with the Data Science team to identify data requirements and develop scalable solutions to support our growing data needs.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies.
- Work independently to implement activities that impact discrete components / processes of work within the team.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that data infrastructure supports their analytical needs and requirements. This includes solving bespoke data problems.
- Build new dashboards and real-time visualizations to support senior stakeholders and democratize access to machine learning insights.
- Conduct technical and market research to support the team.
- Completion of, or material progress into, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or similar technical field/experience.
- Competency to act independently across an array of activities including, but not limited to - python code development, data wrangling and cleaning, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model development, model build and pipeline deployment, testing, and data visualization.
- Data platforms and tools, including Spark, and SQL databases.
- Working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data formats.
- Designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Git for code version control.
- Cloud-based data platforms such as AWS.
- Security measures related to ensuring adherence to data privacy regulations.
- Strong communication skills that enable you to relay complex statistical concepts to non-technical stakeholders that deliver actionable insights.
- Good interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, demonstrating the ability to lead a task when appropriate.
- Builds relationships across teams and stakeholders at various levels.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an intern Data Scientist and play a critical role in developing our data infrastructure and end-to-end deployment of machine learning insights. The ideal candidate will be a keen problem solver, technically literate, and have a good understanding of mathematical concepts.
