  Data Scientist Lead - Southern Europe

  We have an exciting opportunity to lead new global IT projects to be based in Spain, reporting into the BI Manager for the Region.

  What you'll do in a typical day:

  If you have a passion for data and technology and want to join a crew of sharp analytical minds, then this may be the right opportunity for you. As a Data Scientist Lead, you will get a chance to take part lead the development of features of our AI product and perform the following tasks:

  • Define and develop Power BI dashboards
  • Project lead of multiple initiatives
  • Define data science modeling strategy and advise/revise coding approach
  • Interact with our users and understand their challenges, their data, and their needs
  • Training of internal Subject matter experts

  What you'll need to success at XPO:

  • 3+ years’ of demonstrable track record in a BI role, ideally in an international company

  • Power BI report design and workspace maintenance

  • Advanced knowledge in Python, SQL and DAX – experience with time series data

  • Flair for visual design

  • Strong knowledge in Data Modelling

  • Experience leading multiple projects and multiple teams

  • Experience in project planning

  • Experience in communicating technically, at a level appropriate for the audience

  • Ability to work in a fast pace and learn quickly

  • Background in data science consulting or in product development

  It will be great if you also have:

  • (Bonus) Master’s in Data Science /Machine Learning

  • Knowledge of Power Automate and Dataverse is a plus

  • Knowledge with KNIME & Microsoft Dynamics 365 is plus

  • Knowledge of big data tools like Spark, Hadoop, noSQL, etc.. is plus

  • Knowledge of Docker is plus
