      Here is where we need you most:

      The Data Specialist (DS) is part of O.C. Tanner's Client Success Department. They are subject matter experts when it comes to the data files that drive client programs. They seek opportunities to educate O.C. Tanner Sales Offices and clients on best practices surrounding data file delivery, data file formats, data security, and privacy. The DS is client-facing and is accountable to delivering high-quality, day-to-day, management of assigned projects while working collaboratively with a variety of different teams.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      Manage Success of New Data Projects:

      • Determine what data is needed to meet the client's program objectives; define data specifications accordingly to ensure successful launch.
      • Educate clients on data security and compliance requirements.
      • Hold clients accountable for secure file transmission, resolution of any data errors, and frequency for the data.
      • Proactive communication for data projects, concerns, and opportunities.
      • Collaborate with other teams as appropriate.

      On-going Data Management:

      • Provide day-to-day data support for assigned Clients and maintain a client's program with relation to the data file.
      • Monitor data connections and timely receipt of files; actively follow-up with clients on missing or late data files.
      • Manage daily workload as you receive, validate, and load data files; troubleshoot errors and offer sustainable solutions.
      • Ensure data is accurate; partner with clients to resolve data errors without manual intervention.
      • Communicate data enhancements; facilitate client adoption of new technology and security compliance requirements.
      • Manage participant and eligibility changes as needed.
      Client Relationship:
      • Subject matter expert on data file requirements, data security, and compliance regulation.
      • Cultivate long-term relationships with client contacts, sales offices, and internal teams.
      • Communicate data concepts with clients that have varying technology backgrounds; proactively facilitate data discussions to ensure client data success.

      Personal Development:

      • Rally and support other Data Specialists to ensure coverage, share best practices, and elevate team culture.
      • Participate in projects, huddles, training, and other duties as needed.
      • Deliver WOW and create meaningful experiences with clients.
      • Hold yourself accountable to following data processes and delivering great work.
      • Promote lean concepts and proactively looks for ways to improve daily work processes.
      • Manage daily workload and complete tasks in a timely manner.

      Qualifications

      Education and/or Experience:

      • Bachelor's degree and/or at least two years work-related experience.
      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred.
