What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Create and manage production databases, ensuring performance tuning and data integrity
- Direct programmers and analysts to implement changes to the database management system
- Monitor database performance and recommend efficiency improvements
- Assist with disaster recovery processes and maintain database security protocols
- Provide technical assistance and support for users experiencing database issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle internal views, shell scripting, and PL/SQL
- Solid experience managing Oracle version 19 databases, including Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Active Data Guard
- Experience with on-call support and providing 24x7 coverage for database systems
- Thorough knowledge of database infrastructure setup in data centers, including cloud environments
- Experience administering MSSQL Server and EDB PostgreSQL Enterprise databases
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with migration and support of Oracle databases on AWS cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with database refreshes/clones and building development/testing databases
- Proficiency in using Remedy, ITSM, PPM, and ServiceNow for support and management tasks
