- Monitor \ Manage SQL Servers and SQL Clusters
- Monitor \ Manage Backups and Disaster Recovery Status
- Monitor \ Manage related Application Servers’ configurations
- Monitor Application and SQL System logs and policies
- Troubleshoot SQL and application issues and contact vendor support
- Document server configurations and processes
- Evaluate applications and data sources for adherence to the organization and \ or industry best practices
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of Active Versions of Windows Server and above, SQL Server, clustering, and HYPER-V
- Working knowledge of SQL Always On Availability Groups
- Ability to document server configuration
- Ability to determine and document application and server processes
- Strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within field
- Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff
- Ability to develop models and logical workflows and exhibit advanced visualization skills
- Proficient at scripting to search SQL databases
- Ability to collaborate with IT teams and management to devise a data strategy that addresses company requirements
- Strong knowledge of IT technical infrastructure such as networks, scripting, database principles, and other related concepts
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and confidentially process and maintain data with accuracy
- Strong computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff
- Effective oral and technical written communication skills to effectively communicate information to others as well as to present information in front of a group
- Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, etc.

- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Internet Information Services (IIS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Transparent Database Encryption (TDE) highly preferred
- Working knowledge of Active versions of Windows Server and Clusters, SQL Server
- Proficient at scripting to search SQL databases
- Valid state driver’s license and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Calista’s Driving Policy

Calista Corporation RegularJOB SUMMARY
The Database Administrator is responsible for monitoring and managing SQL Servers and their related applications that use SQL Databases. The DBA will provide technical expertise supporting company applications, departments, and business processes. This position will serve as a team member of the Application Team for Calista IT. Responsibilities will include administration, documentation, and research to ensure safe, secure and efficient operations.

Calista Corporation IT department is a fast paced, multi-tasking, customer service-oriented office environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities. Overtime will be necessary at times.
