      Graebel are currently seeking a skilled an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for leading strategic efforts in storing and managing OLTP data across products. You will also use high-speed data backup and recovery techniques, install, configure, and upgrade database servers, and manage hardware requirements for production systems. Additionally, you will plan and support database security, perform database migrations for better scalability and performance, and design and implement disaster recovery, backup, and restore strategies. Your role will also involve monitoring and maintaining database systems for optimal performance and availability, as well as monitoring jobs execution and replication and making corrective actions when necessary. As a key member of our team, you will also assist developers, network administration, and applications support staff in diagnosing and resolving database-related application problems, develop scripts for day-to-day management functions, and create primary objects to support application support functions and system developers.       Primary Responsibilities

      • Lead the strategic efforts in storing and managing OLTP data across products
      • Use high-speed data backup and recovery techniques
      • Install, configure, and upgrade database servers
      • Manage hardware requirements for production systems
      • Plan and support database security as defined by system/security architects, etc.
      • Plan and perform database migrations for better scalability and performance, etc.
      • Respond to requests for data, requiring writing some ad hoc queries – like request for audit trail for some accounts, etc
      • Design, test and implement Disaster Recovery, Backup and Restore strategies, standards and scripts
      • Maintenance and monitoring of database systems for optimal performance and availability.
      • Monitor jobs execution, and make corrective actions when necessary
      • Monitoring replication and make corrective actions in case of problems
      • Assist developers, network administration, and applications support staff in diagnosing and resolving database-related application problems
      • Develop scripts to optimally perform procedures, functions and notifications as part of the day to day management functions. Moderate experience in SQL performance tuning is required
      • Create primary objects (tables, views, indices, keys), as required to support the requirements defined by the application support functions and system developers
      • Architect and design of production database systems.
      • Provide support to other IT team’s such as App Development and Data Services


      Required Skills

      Required Skills & Experience

      • Three years of experience in IT as a Database Administrator (MS-SQL server)
      • Ability to clearly, concisely, and effectively communicate with team members and 3rd party vendors.
      • Be willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices that may not be familiar
      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline
      • 3+ years of experience designing, executing, and supporting cloud data solutions
      • Experience with MS-SQL server in AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database
      • Experience with administrating Replication, SSIS, and SSRS
      • Experience with setting up DR for SQL server in cloud architecture and understanding of RTO/RPO concepts (nice to have)
      • In-depth knowledge in database design and architecture core concepts
      • Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
      • Good understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedures
      • Enforce best practices for database security
      • Ability to create accurate documentation (charting\diagrams\spreadsheets)
