Job Description

- Work with the Chief Diversity Officer to actively engage functional area managers to identify, collect, analyze, and interpret data to advance institutional priorities.
- Generate and communicate data using effective reporting and visualization techniques.
- Support DEAI Department program initiatives
- Develop Dashboard metrics (KPIs) and timelines aligned with identified functional areas, Diversity Assessment Tool, and Board Study Report Recommendations and Considerations to identify and analyze DEAI trends.
- Select and apply mathematic, economic, and/or statistical data and information, including but not limited to the development of visitor-participation models, data profiling, trend analysis, simulation, or projections.
- Utilize analysis tools and data mining techniques to collect, compile, organize, and analyze related data and monitor progress to assist Museum functional areas/departments in making informed decisions to improve existing programs/processes through a DEAI lens.
- Coordinate the Museum's quantitative and qualitative critical metrics to inform and support Center of Communities strategic initiatives.
- Consult with the Chief Diversity Officer and functional area managers to determine systemic root causes, corrective actions, strategies, and plans to provide and assist all levels of management in support of SLAM's mission, values, priorities, goals, and objectives.
- Meet regularly with Museum leaders to define project goals and objectives.
- Produce regular reports, dashboard metrics, and presentations (including visualization tools and mapping) for staff and stakeholders.
- Deliver presentation updates to staff on institutional performance metrics and trend analyze
- Assist in the coordination DEAI programs (festivals, conferences, meetings)
- Maintain DEAI database
- Serve as the contact between DEAI and Finance for services and products (Workplace)

Summary: This position will play a critical role in collecting, managing, and analyzing data to provide valuable insights that support data-driven decision-making by leadership. The Analyst will report to the Chief Diversity Officer, serving as department program support and liaison to Museum functional areas to align existing and future initiatives to create a welcoming and inclusive institution for all visitors, staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.
Purpose: The primary purposes of the Analyst are:

Research and Analysis: In collaboration with the Chief Diversity Officer and functional area manager, t he Analyst will coordinate (independently or in cooperation with research and evaluation contractors) data collection, analysis, and reporting to address Museum DEAI priorities.

DEAI Department Support Duties
Required Qualifications: Individual with competence in the rigorous methods of scientific inquiry, operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, or mathematical logic background. Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft office products and developing database tables and queries using Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel (i.e., pivot tables, charts, and graphs). Preferable experience in mathematical models in global social-cultural fields; and application of impact analysis in measurement for management, marketing, and education. Experience working in cultural institutions or non-profits and with Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion (DEAI) strategies is desired but not required.

Status: Regular, Full-Time
Minimum of Hiring Range: $64,284 annually
