The following position function statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed. The position function statements reflect expectations of the fully trained, proficient incumbent who meets all performance criteria.
The DOM acts as a hands-on business consultant to dealerships in his/her territory. The DOM will help the retailer to: Align the business with local market conditions; Decide on product mix and sales strategy; Set long-term plans for the dealership; Maximize allocation coverage, inventory turns and that inventory reflects market opportunity; Develop staff competencies and capabilities; Conduct local marketing activities; Improve prospecting, lead management and customer retention/loyalty activities; Analyze the financial aspects of the business, including operations and capital investments; Develop customer satisfaction initiatives aimed at maximizing customer retention/loyalty.
The DOM also acts as a critical liaison between Nissan and dealers. On a monthly basis the DOM will: Communicate Nissan sales and marketing programs to dealer staff; Provide dealers with contact reports which include candid performance feedback; Ensure each dealer has developed and implemented a sales and marketing plan; Ensure accurate forecasting as required; Ensure on-going adherence to NCI standards & programs.
The DOM is expected to address such diverse issues as facilities standards, succession planning, competitive developments, sales and marketing plans, new market representation opportunities and staff training programs.
University degree preferred but not required in business/marketing
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience. With at least 2 years in the automotive industry preferred.
Continuous dealership improvement; automotive marketing principles; financial statement analysis and team development (HR basics).
Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

We’re currently looking for a Dealer Operations Manager to join our team in Central Territory, ON.
The Dealer Operations Manager (DOM) operates within a specific district and acts as Nissan’s primary point of contact with dealers to foster a positive relationship and improve dealers’ performance in areas such as Sales Penetration, Customer Voice and Profitability; represent Nissan’s corporate interests when working with the dealer, including contractual agreements; provide timely information and reporting to both parties.
